  2.                          Consent to Distribute

  5.      The ReaderSoft Bookware Library is a library for paperless books. The
  6.      guidelines for submitting a book are:
  7.  
  8.      1)   Books must be submitted by the author. Books are considered to be
  9.      of novel length, collections of short stories or poetry. They must be
  10.      at least 300k in length. Larger size files may be split into two parts
  11.      or condensed to size if they do not fit onto a 3.5 inch 1.4mb IBM
  12.      formatted floppy disk.
  13.  
  14.      2)  Books must be on IBM-PC compatible disk (5.25 or 3.5).
  15.  
  16.      3)  Data must be in ASCII.
  17.  
  18.      4)  ReaderSoft uses a publishing program to create specially encrypted
  19.      .NOD files. This program is call PUBLISH, it is available for $50.00,
  20.      ReaderSoft will encrypt work(s) for writers for $10.00 per work.
  21.      Unless specifically noted, ReaderSoft will encrypt all work(s)
  22.      submitted using this consent form. In addition RSS will add a cover
  23.      screen and index for utilization with the pubishing software.

  25.      5)  All responsibility for liability, law suits, and warranty for the
  26.      books rest with the author.  (ReaderSoft warrants only the actual
  27.      disk/files).

  29.      6)  The author will provide a short description of the book in 100
  30.      words or less.

  32.      Books listed with ReaderSoft are distributed on diskette or available
  33.      for electronic transfer to the reader under ReaderSoft's Bookware
  34.      distribution system.  ReaderSoft may join with other electronic
  35.      publication distribution systems to cover a wider area of readers.

  37.      ReaderSoft will list the book and the author's description in a
  38.      catalog.  This catalog is made available to interested readers. Author
  39.      advances and royalties are paid in accordance with this consent
  40.      agreement between the author and Readersoft Software. These royalties
  41.      are computed quarterly and a statement sent to the author(s). The
  42.      author may contact ReaderSoft directly for additional contract
  43.      consideration.

  45.      Under this consent to make available ReaderSoft Bookware Library will
  46.      distribute the electronic books for $6.00 per book. A shipping and
  47.      handling charge of $2.00 per disk will be paid. Royalties are paid to
  48.      author based on disk sales at $1.00 per book.
